In another record breaking move by the no nonsense education CS Prof Magoha, the government has this year released the KCSE results three days before the end of the exam marking.
The release of the results opens a new era where the government will no longer have to wait for the marking to end, as they are in a position to predict what each student will score based on the school where they were enrolled.
The results released earlier this week were done so in a record time, finding teachers who were participating in marking unawares. Some of them seemed confused on whether to go on marking or simply to go home and catch the results live on TV.
Next year, the ministry hopes to release the results before the start of exams.
