Waititu: I did not move to KANU

Former Kiambu County Governor Ferdinand Waititu has denied allegations in the local media that he has decamped from Jubilee party to KANU.

In the news that has been circulating in Kenya, it was reported that Waititu had met Gideon Moi at his Kabarak residence where not only did he jump ship to KANU, but also declared his support for the Building Bridges Initiative.

However, Waititu has come out to strongly deny the allegations, instead terming it as the creation of fake Kenyan media. He said that it is the same media that had been reporting that he was jobless while he has been actively working in his new found job of selling GNLD products.

“I did not move to KANU,” he told our reporter. “Even Gideon Moi knows very well that it is KANU which moved to where I was.”
He also said that he did not suddenly start supporting BBI, only that BBI aligned itself to his interests and thus it is BBI that is supporting him and not the other way round.

With the new announcements, it is expected that all court cases against the former governor will be dropped and though his sins are as red as crimson, they will be washed to be as white as snow.
