Kipchumba Murkomen Turns Back to Christianity after a 7-Year Sabbatical

Ousted Senate Majority Leader Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen has finally had his road to Damascus moment after things got messy in the Jubilee Party.

The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator has finally decided to dust his Bible and take the road of the prodigal son, announcing that he had received Jesus in his heart after losing him for seven years, and from now henceforth he would try to stick to the straight and narrow. This comes after the Senator parted ways with Christianity due to the temptations of power and the need to keep up with his fellow politicians.

The Senator has now turned to the Bible and has often been seen Tweeting Bible verses and even trying to act like a Christian in his public appearances. He has also minimized on corruption and he is looking forward to be corruption free by 2020.

Asked if the move was due to the loss of the position of the Majority Leader, Murkomen said that his decision was solely based on convictions and at no point was he under pressure from anything. “I just realized that I am lost and like the prodigal son, I have decided to go back to my father’s house.”

Murkomen has also pledged to give back everything he had stolen, although he did not use the word steal explicitly. He said that he was willing to focus more on philanthropy and helping people all over Kenya to deal with adverse economic situations.

Church leaders welcomed the prodigal son with arms open wide. Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Ministry said that he was willing to support brother Murkomen even in his work as Senate Major Chairman.
