Kenya’s President and Deputy President are set to meet for a boxing match in an attempt to settle their ever increasing political differences.
After months of fighting a cold war against each other, the two leaders have finally decided to act like men and settle their differences in the old way, where the winner will get to decide the fate of the other one until the next election.
The move is meant to clear the confusion that has been in Kenya where the opposition is in government, the government is in opposition, and the people do not know who the real government and the opposition is. This follows months of fierce fighting and use of underhand tactics as after the fallout between the red tie brothers of 2013.
While it is not clear who could be the winner, Uhuru is banking on his heavyweight status and the cheering of experienced noise makers like Francis Atwoli to win the match. On his part, William Ruto is said to have been preparing for this since 2013 and he is in good shape. He also has the help of expert tacticians like Kipchumba Murkomen.
The one who wins will rule the country.
