Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has denied shooting DJ Evolve at B-Club in Kilimani, instead blaming the incidence on a technical error while taking a screenshot on his iPhone.
Speaking through his lawyer Cliff Ombeta, the youthful legislator claimed that he had just taken a selfie on his 4th iPhone 11 Pro, when he accidentally took a screen shot and fatally wounded the DJ.
“Many people do not understand how these expensive smartphones work,” he added. “My client is a responsible man and it was just a case of technology gone bad. He can never harm anyone and has never touched a gun in his life.”
Asked about the pictures of Babu Owino holding a gun circulating in the social media, the lawyer said that it was just a speed gun, and asked Kenyans to totally ignore the propaganda.
The MP hopes to be cleared from all the charges as he has a very clean criminal record.
