Mutahi Kagwe Orders for his Own Arrest Following Corruption Allegations

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has ordered for his immediate arrest following revelations that he had a hand in the KEMSA Covid-19 Corruption Scandal.

In a brief media briefing following the Senate briefing by former Senator Kembi Gitura and ousted KEMSA CEO Jonah Manjari, Mutahi Kagwe said that he was committed to dismantling all the cartels at the Ministry of Health and he would spare no one including himself.

“I have today directed EACC to immediately arrest all the persons named in the KEMSA scandal and this includes myself. This exercise will serve to reassure Kenyans that I am doing everything to fight the cartels, even if those cartels include me.”

By the time of going to the press, EACC said that they have not received the self issued warrant of arrest because they did not understand what Mutahi Kagwe said since he said it in Swahili. “We will need to hire a Mutahi Kagwe Swahilist to decode the warrant. This process could take 12 years but it will come to pass.”
