SGR to Cut Commute Time to Nakuru by 3 Minutes

The newly launched Nairobi –  Naivasha train service is expected to reduce the commute time between Nairobi and Nakuru by 3.142 minutes. This is expected to be good news to people who regularly commute between the two towns.

Speaking during the launch of the Chinese funded SGR train, the minister of transported said that the train would add value to the trade between the two Kenyan cities by saving traders about 3 minutes every day, and 6 minutes should they do a return trip. He said that although it might look like a small amount of time, the 3 minutes multiplied by 50 million Kenyans would results to millions of man hours saved.

The standard Gauge Railway which cost 150 million is one of the legacy projects of the government.
