Comedian Njugush Donates 350 Brooms to Parliament to help MPs Fly for Medical Treatment

Comedian and renowned Njahi activist Blessed Njugush has come to the rescue of Kenyan legislators by donating 350 brooms which will be used to airlift MPs to seek treatment in big hospitals in Nairobi if the ones in their constituencies lack basic equipment.

Speaking during the handover ceremony at Parliament Building, Njugush said that it was unfortunate that MPs continue to suffer from the poor state of health facilities which they have consistently refused to ensure that they are in good condition, and therefore necessary for them to be flown to Nairobi for emergency treatment.

“We want the honorable members to speedily get to hospitals if they have not lobbied for good ones in their constituencies or if they have not ensured that the state of roads is good. We are therefore donating these brooms which they will use to ride and get that 5-star health care in a record amount of time.”

While receiving the donation, Speaker Justin Muturi said that the donation would go a long way in ensuring that MPs would not suffer from the poor state of hospitals in Kenya, which includes lack of essential equipment, low number of medics and demotivated staff who are paid in peanuts and exposure.

Others who attended the event include 321 MPs, their spouses, body guards personal assistants and 85 journalists.
