Blue Band sues Mwangi Kiunjuri’s Party – TSP – for Plagiarism

Mwangi Kiunjuri has found himself on the wrong side of the slice of power after he was sued by Blue Band for plagiarizing their packaging while packaging his new political party.

The former Cabinet Secretary of Agriculture who was unceremoniously fired by locusts went ahead to launch a political party by the name ‘The Service Party.’ To his political followers, this was supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. However, a closer look at the party showed that it was nothing more than a Blue Band packaging. Everything from the colors, appearance and the general display showed that it is just Blue Band.

This is the action that has angered the manufacturers of Blue Band, leading to a legal action against Mwangi Kiunjuri. “While it is his constitutional right to spread himself far and wide politically, it is wrong for him to plagiarize Blue Band and ride on our popularity just to gain followers. We know he is just looking for his daily bread but there are better ways to do it without involving us.”

Kinjuri had hoped that his affiliation with Blue Band would make his fight for popularity as easy as bread through butter. Since Blue Band is in every home, he hoped that his party would follow suit and lead to a vote from every home, something that now seems impossible.

The lawsuit is a major blow to The Service Party, which is meant to be bread and butter for Kiunjuri’s political career. If he loses to Blue Band, Mwangi Kiunjuri will have to rebrand his party and hope things will turn out fine for him since half a loaf is better than no bread.
